Connect Microsoft Teams Account with 5day.io
The Connect command lets you link Microsoft Teams with your 5day.io account, unlocking real-time notifications and the ability to create tasks directly from any Teams chat.
Once connected, the 5day.io bot will appear in your Teams environment, delivering all configured 5day.io alerts (task updates, due dates, comments, etc.) and enabling the create task command across 1:1 chats, group chats, and channels.

Connect Personal Account
To use the integration, it must first be enabled in your 5day.io account by account owner/admin.
- By default, Teams integration is automatically enabled for all users if your plan supports it.
- Admins can restrict access per user or role in Roles and Permission.
Once enabled, any authorized user can connect their personal Microsoft Teams account in just a few steps:
Step-by-Step: Connect Your Teams Account

Open Microsoft Teams account -> Go to Apps In the left sidebar, click Apps (or search using the top search bar).

Search for 5day.io and select the app.

Click Add (or Add to a team if installing for a channel).

Receive Welcome Message After installation, you’ll get a 1:1 chat from the 5day.io Bot with a welcome message.

Start Connection In the bot chat, type: connect then press Enter.

Log in to 5day.io You’ll be redirected to the 5day.io login page in a new browser tab.

Enter Your Credentials Use your 5day.io email address and password.

Authorize the App Review the permissions and click Authorize.

Connection Complete! You’ll see a confirmation in both:
- The browser tab (redirected back to 5day.io)
- The 5day.io bot chat in Teams
Your Microsoft Teams account is now fully connected to 5day.io.
